On the 28th March 2019 Martha came to us from Tia rescue. No one had any idea she was pregnant as she was so thin. On the 6th June Oscar Alan arrived!

Jacob is our newest rescue.  He has been tethered most of his life and is roughly 3 years old. He has been looked after and gelded and is enjoying life at TAK ready for a fresh start in life.

Mattie arrived September 2018 in an extremely poor state. He was given only 48 hours to live, but thorugh many months of careful feeding and vetinary guidance he is now ready for rehoming, a real success story. His new nick name is "Fatty Mattie"!

Louise
Louise arrived with 0% body fat and has been carefully fed and managed to bring her back closer to a normal weight. Louise gave birth 25th April 2019 to Spirit. Thelma and louise arrived together on the 28th of June 2018 pitifully thin and at the time, no indication she was pregnant.

Spirit at 3 months old. Born 25th April to Louise, she enjoys running and is very friendly!

Arriving with Louise, Thelma had 0% body fat and has been carefully fed and managed to bring her back closer to a normal weight. We are continuing with her development and she is responding well, she is very frindly and loves company!

Willow
Willow arrived in late April. An old riding pony, she is over 20 years old and came to us in a dreadful state, nothing but skin and bone.  
Retired here now at TAK, she is putting on weight and is an incredibly nice pony with a lovely temperament.
Jennet Donkey

Gerty was inherited with the land we now keep the Rescued horses on, having been neglected for some time, Gerty had severe fungal foot and skin infections and Laminitus. She has been carefully nursed back to health in conjuction with the feed specialists at The Donkey Sanctuary and The Equine Vetinary Centre, our volunteers have taken daily care of her feet and have given her a new lease of life! Her recovery is ongoing as she has been diagnosed with Insulin Resistant Laminitus, she requires twice daily doses of expensive medication.

Cheeky Boycee, seen here on the left photo bombing one of Billy Blue Eyes portrait shots, was another rig succesfully operated on by The Equine Vet Centre near Doncaster early 2018.

Ruby is a Shetland mother to a foal. Coming in as part of a batch of 12 due to be shot, TAK combined forces with PeppersField to rescue them all. Currently at Peppers Field getting 1 on 1 care and training.

Freddie is a Shetland colt foal. Coming in as part of a batch of 12 due to be shot, TAK combined forces with PeppersField to rescue them all. Currently with his mum at Peppers Field getting plenty of attention to bring him on.
